Communicating Needs at Christmas: A Workshop for Neurodivergent Families
Christmas is a lot. Disrupted routines, sensory overload, social demands, time with family who may not fully understand your needs or your child's — and the pressure to make it all feel magical on top of everything else.
This workshop is for neurodivergent parents and carers who want to go into the Christmas period feeling more prepared, particularly around the conversations that can be hardest to have.
We'll think together about how to recognise your own needs and your child's, how to give yourself permission to honour them, and how to communicate them to the people around you. Using a straightforward step-by-step process for assertive communication, we'll work through how to approach those challenging conversations — with extended family, with partners, with anyone who doesn't always get it.
You'll leave with practical tools and a process you can return to whenever you need it, so that the festive period feels a little more navigable for everyone.
