When Neurotypes Collide: Mapping Needs in Mixed-Neurotype Families

A webinar requested by our Parents in the Neurodivergent Parent Space!

Are you living in a multiply neurodivergent family with differing and clashing needs? Perhaps you're a therapist supporting neurodivergent people who are struggling with understanding their own needs and those of their partner or child.

This session will guide you in mapping the individual needs of family members, whether they are diagnosed, wondering, or neurotypical! Moving beyond diagnostic labels, this webinar will provide neuroaffirmative tools to help you to understand the intersection of multiple neurotypes within families.

Overview: Neurodivergence, such as autism and ADHD, is highly heritable and often runs through families in complex, overlapping ways. This webinar explores practical strategies that value every neurotype and helps to support everyone’s individual needs within families.

What you’ll learn:

  • Understanding common needs of neurodivergent people: Shifting the focus to individual needs withn diagnoses.

  • Mapping sensory, emotional & communication needs: Learn practical tools to identify differing needs around sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, styles of communication and more.

  • Inclusive discussion: Whether you are a neurodivergent parent, have neurodivergent children, or work with mixed-neurotype families, leave with actionable ideas for validation and connection.

Who should attend:
Neurodivergent parents and carers, those supporting a neurodivergent child, or anyone wondering about neurodiversity in their family is very welcome. Therapists supporting neurodivergent families would also benefit from this workshop too!
