Welcome to our Christmas workshop for neurodivergent parents!
We know that Christmas can be a tricky time for neurodivergent families. Both parents and children can find the routine changes, sensory overload and social demands overwhelming.
On top of this, we can find ourselves spending time with family and friends who many not understand our needs.
This interactive workshop-style session will provide you with practical tools to help you:
Recognise your needs, and your child's needs
Give yourself permission to honour those needs
Communicate them to others.
Using our easy to remember, step-by-step process for assertive communication, and our Communication Checklist, you will go away with the confidence to approach challenging conversations.
Who should attend:
Neurodivergent parents and carers, those supporting a neurodivergent child, or anyone wondering about neurodiversity in their family. Any parent who is concerned about navigating conversations at Christmas and communicating theirs and their child's needs is very welcome.
Your workshop facilitators:
Dr Jo Mueller is a Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years working with the neurodivergent community, and with two kids, she has personal insight too. Dr Jo will be joined by Dr Siobhan Higgins, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and fellow neurodivergent parent.
REPLAY INCLUDED: If you can't make the date, then a recording will be available after the webinar for anyone purchasing a ticket.
