Training for therapists about adapting their therapy for neurodivergent adults. This 2-hour training webinar was recorded live on 4th February 2025.
About this training webinar:
This training will equip you with practical strategies to become a more neuroinclusive, neuroaffirmative therapist. The training has been co-produced with thanks to Maria, Lorna and Felix, neurodivergent folk who are part of our Neurodivergent Parent Space community. It also draws on extensive clinical experience of working with the neurodivergent community and up-to-date research in this area.
Agenda:
Your session will be hosted by Dr Lauren Breese, Clinical Psychologist. Dr Breese has taught health professionals at conferences (Royal College of Psychiatry, Royal College of Paediatrics, Association of Child and Adolescent Mental health) as well as trained mental health professionals at universities (IoPPN, KCL, Newcastle) and in private clinics (The School of Life) about working with neurodiversity in clinical practice.
She has worked in the NHS for over fourteen years and is now primarily in private practice, specialising in working with neurodivergent people of all ages. Her experience working in the National and Specialist Adult Autism and ADHD Psychological Therapy Team as well as setting up two new NHS clinical services and two private sector services dedicated to autistic adults gave her an opportunity to have an in depth-understanding of neurodivergent individuals, parents and families.
The Neurodiversity Practice provides training and consultations for mental health professionals and organisations on developing neurodiversity affirming practice and cultures.
The Neurodiversity Practice has established an online community, The Neurodivergent Parent Space, to support neurodivergent parents with evidence-based resources and monthly webinars, as well as warm, non-judgemental community connection.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills to better support neurodivergent individuals and adapt your practice to be neuroinclusive.
